The latest innovation for the punching machine, system TRUMPF is the PASS – PIVOT, 90° Form Tool.
The problem to produce a true 90° bend is well known. The sheet normally requires a secondary operation after manufacturing on the punch/nibbling machine to make this exact 90° bend. The
latest innovation from PASS Stanztechnik AG aims to eliminate this secondary production step of “bending” and make it in one step on the punch/nibbling machine.
It was not easy to solve the problem of making the bend in only one production step. However, working as a team, our technical engineers were able to develop the solution:
the PASS – PIVOT, 90° Form Tool!
The big advantage of this tool is that its possible to make an exact 90° bend for aluminium and mild steel (s= 0.5 – 2.0mm) and for stainless steel (s= 0.5 – 1.5mm) without the need
for different inserts!!!
Another important point is that special software is not required. This can be a huge cost savings!
The maximum height and width of the tab depends on the machine and the machine type (for example: System Trumpf, Size II, Lmax = 50 mm, Hmax = 22 mm).
