Low-scratch material handling

with PASS Emboss Tools

07.12.2009

Spring-loaded die with integrated compressible
rubber insert

Problem solving:

  • Scratches on the bottom part of the material are minimized
  • Additional lower based is sealed against allowing metal shavings to build-up
within the lower base. This reduces build-up of shavings that can cause premature
    tool wear.
Function:
  • Elastic rubber insert has the required properties to support the material weight when
moving the material. This eliminates "metal to metal" contact, where most scratches orccur.
  • Ensuring no "metal to metal" contact during the forming process the rubber insert travels the same distance as the stripper plate. Keeping the material raised throughout the forming process.
